The Victims' Assistance
DVD:
Surviving the Trauma
was conceptualized
after covering the Oklahoma City Bombing. I observed that the First
Responders and survivors of the tragedy were the first to suffer
traumatic effects. Although the First Responders are considered
heroes for their efforts, they suffer guilt for having survived the
event. Suicides run high among such First Responders.
When the Columbine Massacre occurred, we were determined to offer
whatever assistance we could to help those First Responders and
survivors recognize and deal with trauma. This video will benefit
anyone who has suffered trauma from a criminal act or terrorist act
to an accident or natural disaster.
